- 2 large garlic cloves (pressed)
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger*

- 1 pound top sirloin (sliced into 1/4-inch thick strips)
- 1/4 cup olive oil (divided)
- 1/2 red onion (sliced)
- 2 plum (Roma) tomatoes (sliced into thin wedges)
- 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon hot sauce (I used Sriracha)
- Salt and pepper to taste
