The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (, softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon zest (from about 4 medium lemons)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 box lemon cake mix (I use the betty crocker brand)
  • 1 small package lemon instant pudding
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup oil ((vegetable or canola))
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup butter ((2 sticks), room temperature)
  • 6 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 - 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
