Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 small Cucumber (peeled and grated, juice wrung out)
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 2 cups Yogurt
  • 0.667 cup Quark
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 3.333 cups minced lamb
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 tsps sweet paprika
  • 0.5 tsp hot paprika
  • olive oil

Instruction

  • To make the tzatziki, mix together the cucumber and the garlic. Mix together the yogurt, quark and oil to form a creamy mixture and add to the cucumber and garlic. Season with salt and pepper and chill until time to serve.
  • To make the cevapcici, place the meat in a bowl. Add the garlic, oil, 1 tbsp water, the paprika, salt and ground black pepper and mix well. With wet hands shape the mixture into 16 small rolls approximately 8 cm long.
  • Heat some oil in a frying pan. Brush the cevapcici with a little oil and fry on all sides for 10 minutes. Alternatively barbecue on an oiled barbecue rack, turning frequently. Serve the cevapcici with the tzatziki.
