The following ingredients have 10 Servings
  • 1.25 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon semolina (also known as sooji)
  • pinch of ajwain
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • water (to knead [little more than 1/4 cup])
  • 1/3 cup urad dal (also known as split black gram without skin)
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mango powder (also known as amchur powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups water (to cook the dal)
