Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 cup besan (/ chickpea flour)
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 tsp red chili powder  
  • 2 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp asafoetida  
  • 3 tbsp whole black pepper (crushed)
  • 2 tbsp butter   (melted )
  • 1 tsp salt   (or as required)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cup vegetable oil (for deep frying)

Instruction

  • In a mixing bowl, add besan, rice flour, red chili powder, garlic paste, asafoetida, crushed black pepper, butter, and salt.
  • Rub the flour well with the spices.
  • And add water at intervels and combine to make smooth pliable dough.
  • Over medium heat, pace a pan and add vegetable oil.
  • Fill the chakli press with the dough.
  • Press it gently over the hot oil. Watch out your hands, as it is sizzling hot oil.
  • When the sizzling sound reduces a little using the ladle flip it.
  • Once it turns golden brown remove it from the fire. Transfer it to the kitchen towel.
  • Once the karasev reaches the room temperature. Gently break them into large pieces..
  • Serve and store the rest to an airtight container.
