Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup red onion ((minced))
- 1/2 cup daikon radish ((minced))
- 2 teaspoons grated ginger root
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg ((lightly beaten))
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 8 ounces whole mushrooms ((trimmed and quartered))
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds ((garnish))
Instruction
- Combine ingredients for burgers and let rest for about ten minutes.
- Meanwhile, stir together the sauce in a small saucepan and simmer until thickened.
- Cook the burgers in a nonstick skillet until browned on both sides.
- Add 1 cup water and the mushrooms and continue to cook until the water evaporates and the burgers are cooked through (about 165F).
- Serve with sauce spooned over and sprinkled lightly with toasted sesame seeds.
