Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 4 slices thick hearty bread
- 2 whole roasted jalapeno peppers, (seeds removed and chopped)
- 2 ounces softened cream cheese
- 2 ounces cheddar cheese (freshly grated)
- 2 ounces monterey jack cheese (freshly grated)
- ½ tsp minced garlic
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 2 TBS butter (softened)
Instruction
- Add the cream cheese, HALF the shredded cheeses (set the other half aside), garlic, spices, and chopped jalapenos to a bowl and mix thoroughly. Set aside.
- Taking 4 slices of bread, butter one side of each slice of bread. Place the buttered sides face down. Add half of the cream cheese mixture to 2 slices of bread. Top the other 2 slices with the remaining shredded cheese. Place the cream cheese mixture slice of bread on top of the other slice, with the buttered sides facing out.
- Using a heavy bottom skillet, heat over medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Add sandwiches to the skillet and cook 3-4 minutes on the first side. Once golden, flip and cook for 2 minutes on the next side.
- Remove from the skillet, cut sandwiches in half, and serve immediately.
