Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- ½ pound thick-cut bacon (diced)
- 16 oz. cream cheese (softened)
- 1½ cups mild cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup pepper jack cheese (shredded)
- 1 tsp garlic (diced)
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp cumin
- 4 jalapeno peppers (seeded and diced (see note))
- ⅓ cup Panko-style bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- {For serving} tortilla chips (carrots, celery, sliced bell peppers, etc.)
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place a medium cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add diced bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon with slotted spoon and pat dry with paper towels. Discard grease in pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, garlic, sour cream, milk, cumin diced jalapeno peppers and cooked bacon. Stir until well combined.
- Transfer mixture back into cast iron skillet. Top with bread crumbs. Cut butter into ¼” pieces and sprinkle over top of bread crumbs.
- Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes, and then broil for 3-5 minutes or until bread crumbs are golden brown.
- Serve hot.
