Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 3 green onions, (sliced (white and green parts))
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 14.5 ounce can Italian-style diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 (12 ounce) bags frozen green beans ((I used Italian cut green beans))
  • salt and pepper, (to taste)

Instruction

  • In a large, deep skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Season with a bit of salt and pepper. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Do not remove bacon grease from skillet.
  • Turn the heat down to medium-low and add sliced green onions to the bacon grease. Cook for about a minute then add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  • Next, stir in green beans and diced tomatoes. Season with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  • Cover and cook over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until green beans are heated through.
  • Finally, crumble bacon over cooked green beans. Stir, then serve.
