Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 tbs vegetable oil
- 2 onion finely chopped medium
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 500 g beef mince
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1 1/2 cup macaroni uncooked
- 400 g canned chopped tomato
- 140 g tomato paste
- 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp paprika
- 3/4 cup cheddar cheese coarsely grated
Instruction
- Preheat fan-forced oven to 180C.
- Cook macaroni in boiling water with a dash of salt for 15 minutes.
- While macaroni is cooking, heat the oil gently in a medium sized casserole dish.
- Add onions and minced garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced beef to the pan and fry, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes or until the mince colours.
- Stir in oregano, basil, cooked macaroni, tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and paprika.
- Season to taste.
- Increase the heat and bring the liquid to boil, stirring constantly.
- Remove the casserole from the heat and sprinkle grated cheese over the beef mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until cheese has melted and is golden-brown in colour.
