Ingredients
The following ingredients have 12 Servings
- 1 1/4 cups 2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 3/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup or 1 milk chocolate bar (cut into chunks)
- 1/2 cup or 1 dark chocolate bar (cut into chunks)
- Optional: 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream (see in notes)
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/4 cup 1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup Baileys Irish cream liqueur
- Chocolate Slivers
- 1/2 cup or 1 milk chocolate bar (cut into chunks)
- 1/2 cup or 1 dark chocolate bar (cut into chunks)
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F, and spray a 9 by 9-inch pan with non-stick spray. Line with parchment so sides go up the sides of the pan.
- In a microwavable bowl, melt the butter, sugar, cocoa, and salt in the microwave in one-minute increments, stirring until butter is melted and warm, not hot.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition.
- Stir in the flour, mix, then stir in the vanilla and chocolate chunks until incorporated.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, with few crumbs adhering.
- Brownies should cool in the pan.
