Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 1 1/4 cups 2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup or 1 milk chocolate bar (cut into chunks)
  • 1/2 cup or 1 dark chocolate bar (cut into chunks)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream (see in notes)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup 1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Baileys Irish cream liqueur
  • Chocolate Slivers
  • 1/2 cup or 1 milk chocolate bar (cut into chunks)
  • 1/2 cup or 1 dark chocolate bar (cut into chunks)

Instruction

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F, and spray a 9 by 9-inch pan with non-stick spray. Line with parchment so sides go up the sides of the pan.
  • In a microwavable bowl, melt the butter, sugar, cocoa, and salt in the microwave in one-minute increments, stirring until butter is melted and warm, not hot.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition.
  • Stir in the flour, mix, then stir in the vanilla and chocolate chunks until incorporated.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, with few crumbs adhering.
  • Brownies should cool in the pan.
