Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 80 g double cream
- 2 tsp Swerve® sweetener
- 2 cups hot, black coffee
- 2 tots* whiskey
- unsweetened cocoa powder ((an optional garnish))
Instruction
- Use a hand mixer on a low setting to whip the double cream and sweetener in a bowl until thickened. It should still be pourable, so be careful not to overwhip it.
- In the meantime, prepare two cups of black coffee. If you like your coffee sweet, sweeten it up as normal (I like to use Truvia in my coffee). Stir a tot* of whiskey into each one.
- Pour the cream into the cup of coffee over the back of a spoon. This will help allow it to fall in gently and slowly without seeping into the coffee. Dust over a little cocoa powder if you are feeling fancy. Enjoy!*A tot in the UK is usually approx. 25ml (0.8 fl oz), but everyone has their own preference. I like to only use a tablespoon of whiskey in my Irish coffee, but there is nothing wrong increasing it because there are zero carbs in whiskey!
