Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- Whole Wheat Flour 3 cups (Raw Rice flour 1 cup and Wheat Rawa or Sooji/Semolina 1/2 cup)
- Salt (Fresh Curd 1 cup)
- Grated carrot from 2 carrots (Finely chopped onions from 1 onionand Chopped green chillies 2)
- Coarsely powdered pepper 1 teaspoon and Finely chopped curry leaves (coriander leaves)
- Mustard seeds and Urad dal for seasoning and Baking soda or Eno fruit salt
Instruction
- Mix the flours and the sooji with salt in a broad bowl and add the curd and mix well.
- Bring it into pouring consistency by adding necessary water. Heat a pan with 2 tea spoons of oil and saute it with mustard seeds and urad dal.
- After they splutter add onions and stir for few seconds and add the grated carrot, green chillies, pepper powder, salt to taste, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
- Give two or three stirs and allow them to cool. transfer them to the batter and mix well.
- Heat the Ape/Kuzhipaniyaram pan and greasen them with oil. While the pan gets heated add a pinch of baking soda or 1/4 tea spoon of eno fruit salt and mix well.
- Then fill the Kuzhipaniyaram pan with the batter and cook on both the sides till they become golden brown. Serve hot with any chutney.
