- ¼ cup green onion, (sliced + more for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds ((optional))
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) low sodium soy sauce
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic cloves, (minced)
- 3 teaspoons freshly grated ginger ((or 1 teaspoon of ground ginger))
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) canola or vegetable oil
- 4 1/2 tablespoons (54 g) brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
