Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 pounds Italian sausage ( or ground beef)
  • ½ cup onion (diced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 boxes Barilla gluten free rotini noodles (or penne)
  • 2 jars pasta sauce
  • 4 cups filtered water

Instruction

  • Turn your Instant Pot onto Saute mode and add olive oil to warm. Once warmed, add the Italian sausage and cook until browned.
  • Add the onion and cook until translucent, then stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Turn off heat, make sure nothing is stuck to the bottom of the pot, then stir in pasta sauce, water and Italian seasoning.
  • Pour the pasta in over the other ingredients. Press the noodles down gently under the liquid, but for best results, do not stir.
  • Seal the lid on the Instant Pot, close the pressure valve then cook on High Pressure for 8 minutes. As soon as the time is elapsed, do a quick release of the pressure and open the lid.
  • Stir to make sure everything is well combined. Sprinkle grated parmesan over the top of the pasta, if desired.
