Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 8 medium apples, (honey-crisp or gala are my favorite)
- 1 cup water
- 1 TBS lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instruction
- Prep the apples: wash, peel, and core. Chop the apples into chunks no bigger than 2 inches by 2 inches.
- Place 1 cup of water into the pot of the Instant Pot, then add the apples, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
- Close the top, seal the Instant Pot and set for 7 minutes at high/manual pressure.
- When the time is up, naturally release the pressure for 10 minutes (don’t flip the seal valve), then release the remaining pressure out. Open the instant pot.
- Using an immersion blender, blend the applesauce mixture until smooth and creamy. If you like the applesauce chunkier, use a potato masher or pastry blender to mash.
- Transfer the applesauce to a air tight container and store in the refrigerator.
