Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 crust from 1 box (14.1 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Pie Crusts (2 Count), softened as directed on box
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 7 oz Hershey's® milk chocolate bar (about 4 1/2 1.55-oz bars)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Extra chocolate bar pieces, for topping

Instruction

  • Heat oven to 450°F. Fit pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and bake according to package instructions for a one-crust pie. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, add milk and 7 oz Hershey’s® milk chocolate to a small pot and melt over low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent scalding. Do not simmer.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together water and cornstarch. Then add sweetened condensed milk, eggs and vanilla. Slowly pour hot melted chocolate into this mixture, whisking constantly.
  • Transfer chocolate mixture back to medium pot and place over low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, for 3-4 minutes until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  • Carefully pour chocolate pie filling into your baked crust and let cool at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer pie to the fridge to cool completely (at least 4 hours). Serve topped with whipped cream and extra chocolate bar pieces.
