  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar ((optional) gives a lovely caramelized brown color to poori)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons fine semolina (sooji) ((optional) gives nice crispiness to poori)
  • oil for frying
