Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp oil
- ¼ cup Balsamic Vinegar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh Thyme leaves
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1¼ cups Sour Cream (or Greek yogurt)
- 1¼ cups Mayo
- Garnish with chives
Instruction
- Sauté the onions and garlic in oil for about 10 minutes until they start to caramelize golden brown.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper, thyme, and a bay leaf. Simmer for about 10 more minutes until it starts to thicken and further reduce. Remove from heat and cool in fridge before proceeding.
- Mix the caramelized onions with the sour cream and mayo. Garnish with chopped chives before serving.
