- 1 bottle barbecue sauce, your favorite, store bought or home made, approximately 2 cups
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder (or granulated )
- 2 tablespoons onion powder (or granulated )
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 tablespoons smoked sea salt ( or sea salt )
- 1 teaspoon pepper (or cayenne pepper, more or less to taste)
- 1 1/2 - 2 cups ketchup
- 1/3-1/2 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- salt to taste
- pepper (or cayenne to taste)
- 1/4 -1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 2-4 tablespoons yellow mustard (or Dijon mustard)
- 2-4 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2-4 teaspoons onion powder
- 2-4 teaspoons chili powder
- 2-4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1-2 jalapeño chiles, seeded, and minced
- 2-4 teaspoons chipotle chile in adobo (minced)
- 2-4 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
