Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 1/3 loaf fresh baguette
  • 2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 fresh figs, (about 4 slices per fig, stems removed, sliced vertically into thin slices)
  • 1/2 cup fresh burrata cheese
  • 8 tsp honey
  • 4 tsp balsamic vinegar

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Make the crostini. Slice the baguette in ½ inch slices. Brush both sides with a little olive oil and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven, turn the slices over and bake for another 5 minutes or until just slightly crispy. The crostini should still be soft on the inside.
  • Lay the fig slices on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, brush each with 1/2 teaspoon of honey and broil with the rack in the highest position, just until honey has melted and started to bubble, about 4-5 minutes. Watch carefully.
  • Spread each crostini with 1 Tablespoon burrata cheese and 2 fig slices.
  • Drizzle each crostini with 1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar.
  • Serve immediately.
