Ingredients

The following ingredients have 10 Servings
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted (divided))
  • 1 Tbsp Molasses
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 12 ounces dark beer (I used Nitro Milk Stout)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Pour half of the butter into a 9X5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine molasses, honey, syrup and cinnamon and stir to combine.
  • Combine flour, salt and baking powder and whisk to combine. Add to bowl with moist ingredients and mix just until blended. Add the beer and stir to combine.
  • Turn the batter out into prepared pan and smooth the top lightly.
  • Pour the remainder of the butter over the top of the mixture in the loaf pan.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until top has risen and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow bread to cool in pan for 15 minutes; remove it from pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.Cut with a serrated knife.
  • Great with butter and jam or honey or cream cheese.
