Ingredients
The following ingredients have 10 Servings
- 3 cups rolled oats (gluten-free)
- 3 cups puffed millet cereal
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
- pinch of pink salt
- 1 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 cup chopped blanched almond slivers (or nuts of choice)
- 1 cup chopped pumpkin seeds (or nuts of choice)
- dried fruit (optional)
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. In a large bowl combine the oats, puffed millet cereal, coconut flakes, cinnamon, ginger, nuts (or leave out for picky kids) and salt. Heat the honey in the microwave for about 30 seconds so it spreads and coats the oats evenly. Pour the honey (or maple syrup) over the oats and mix to combine.
- Spread to granola mixture on a large baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes stirring the granola and rotating the pan often so it does not burn. The granola will be done when it is slightly dry and brown. Remove from oven and let it set for about 15 minutes to cool and harden. Store in an airtight container.
