The following ingredients have 5 Servings
  • 1/2 cup(s) cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon(s) baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/3 cup(s) vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoon(s) butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoon(s) honey
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/4 cup(s) milk
  • GLAZE
  • 1/4 cup(s) honey
  • 1/4 cup(s) butter

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x9 baking dish.
  • Stir together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Pour in the oil, melted butter, honey, beaten eggs, and milk.
  • Stir just enough to moisten.
  • Pour into greased dish and bake 45 min. Test with toothpick.
  • GLAZE...in a sauce pan, simmer 1/4 c butter and 1/4 c of honey together until combined. Pour over hot cornbread.
