Ingredients

The following ingredients have 1 Servings
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened plain almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 thumb size ginger pieces (peeled and sliced into small chunks)
  • 2 teaspoons organic raw honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

Instruction

  • Fill a pot with 1 cup water and add ginger chunks. Bring to a boil, cover and lower to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes.
  • Turn the heat off and let it steep for 20 minutes. Take a sip – you should feel a burning sensation in your throat (you may need to let it steep for a little longer).
  • Put almond milk in a mug and microwave for 30 seconds, or until hot.
  • Add honey, ground ginger and turmeric, and stir well.
  • Add 1/2 cup ginger water to the mug and stir well. Serve hot.
