Ingredients
The following ingredients have 20 Servings
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 green onions (thinly sliced)
- 2 tsp white sesame seeds
- 6 tbsp honey
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 6 tbsp water + 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 1/2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp sriracha sauce
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, add turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, breadcrumbs and egg. Stir and mix until everything is evenly mixed.
- Scoop 1 ½ tbsp of meatball mixture. Use hands to roll and shape into a ball. Place onto baking sheet. Repeat with remaining meat, spacing balls about 1/2 inch apart.
- Bake meatballs for about 20-23 minutes or until fully cooked.
- While meatballs are cooking, prepare the sauce. Add all sauce ingredients except water + cornstarch into a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce is slightly reduced. In a small bowl, completely dissolve 2 tsp of cornstarch into 6 tbsp of water. Add to sauce mixture and stir immediately so that the cornstarch does not cook and clump up. Gradually bring sauce to a simmer again and cook until sauce is thickened. This should only take a few minutes.
- Using a pastry brush, brush meatballs with sauce. Let some of the sauce absorb and then coat them a second time. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
