Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 pound baby carrots
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- dash black pepper
Instruction
- Add the carrots to the perforated steamer portion of the pot, place the bottom of the pot underneath.
- Rinse the carrots under cold water allowing the water to drain through to the bottom pot. Stop when there is about 2 cups of water in the bottom pot; just enough to steam the vegetables.
- Place the pot on top of the stove, cover with a lid and cook on high for approximately 10 minutes until the carrots are fork tender.
- Drain the water from the bottom pot; then place the cooked carrots from the top pot into the bottom.
- Add the butter, honey, sugar, salt and pepper to the pot, turn the heat on low; then toss to coat the carrots with a spoon for 3-4 minutes until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.
