The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- Cupcake Ingredients:
- 1 Cup flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 Cup cocoa
- 1/2 Cup unsalted sweet cream butter softened
- 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoon pure vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 Cup whole milk
- Frosting Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup unsalted sweet cream butter
- 3 Cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoon caramel extract
- 3 Tablespoon heavy whipping cream
Instruction
- Directions for Cupcakes:
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Line cupcake pan with paper liners.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a different bowl, cream butter and sugar for 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy. Add in the vanilla and egg until well blended.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix until combined.
- Add in milk and mix again.
- Evenly distribute the batter into the cupcake liners.
- Bake at 350 F for 21-24 minutes, or until the top springs back when pressed down. Remove to wire racks to cool before frosting.
- Frosting Directions:
- In a mixing bowl with a stand mixer, combine all ingredients and mix together.
- If frosting looks like pebbles (too dry), add another tablespoon of heavy whipping cream.
- If frosting is to thin, add in 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
- Once frosting is at a thick consistency, pipe onto cooled cupcakes and drizzle with caramel sauce, then top with a Twix.
