Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • Cupcake Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 Cup cocoa
  • 1/2 Cup unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 Tablespoon pure vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Cup whole milk
  • Frosting Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Cup unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 3 Cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 Tablespoon caramel extract
  • 3 Tablespoon heavy whipping cream

Instruction

  • Directions for Cupcakes:
  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Line cupcake pan with paper liners.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder. Set aside.
  • In a different bowl, cream butter and sugar for 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy. Add in the vanilla and egg until well blended.
  • Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix until combined.
  • Add in milk and mix again.
  • Evenly distribute the batter into the cupcake liners.
  • Bake at 350 F for 21-24 minutes, or until the top springs back when pressed down. Remove to wire racks to cool before frosting.
  • Frosting Directions:
  • In a mixing bowl with a stand mixer, combine all ingredients and mix together.
  • If frosting looks like pebbles (too dry), add another tablespoon of heavy whipping cream.
  • If frosting is to thin, add in 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
  • Once frosting is at a thick consistency, pipe onto cooled cupcakes and drizzle with caramel sauce, then top with a Twix.
