Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/2 white onion (finely diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 (15 ounce cans) pinto beans*
  • 2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • juice of half a lime
  • salt to taste

Instruction

  • In a medium sized saucepan over medium high heat add the olive oil, the garlic and the onion. Sauté until tender.
  • Add the beans, cumin, chili powder, lime and salt. Heat until warm.
  • Remove from the stove and mash the beans until they reach desired consistency.
  • Top with cilantro, and cojita cheese if desired.
