Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 3/4 cup Butter ((1 1/2 sticks, softened))
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup Butter ((softened))
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Instruction

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy -- about 4 minutes.
  • Add egg and vanilla and beat until creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  • Add cocoa, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Using a scoop, drop 12-16 cookies onto parchment paper or Silpat lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake for 13-16 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let cool.
