Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ small white onion (minced)
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 28- oz. can chunky tomato sauce (we used Muir Glen OR crushed tomatoes*)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon ground oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

Instruction

  • Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to a pot and heat over medium/high heat.
  • When the olive oil is fragrant add the white onion and minced garlic to the pot and sprinkle with ¼ teaspoon salt. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. 
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot and stir.
  • Bring the marinara sauce to a boil and then turn the heat down to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes. 
  • Serve immediately or let cool and store for later.
