Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ small white onion (minced)
- 2 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 28- oz. can chunky tomato sauce (we used Muir Glen OR crushed tomatoes*)
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon ground oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
Instruction
- Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to a pot and heat over medium/high heat.
- When the olive oil is fragrant add the white onion and minced garlic to the pot and sprinkle with ¼ teaspoon salt. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot and stir.
- Bring the marinara sauce to a boil and then turn the heat down to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve immediately or let cool and store for later.
