Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 can (12-ounce) evaporated milk
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instruction

  • Combine the butter, sugar, cocoa, evaporated milk, and salt in a medium saucepan.  
  • Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil.  
  • Reduce heat to medium-low to maintain a low rolling boil for about 7-8 minutes, stirring quite frequently.  
  • Remove the mixture from heat and add the vanilla.  
  • The sauce will still seem pretty runny right now, but it will thicken. Let cool for just a few minutes before putting into the blender.
  • Blend for 2-3 minutes.
