  • ½ cup strawberry puree ((about 130 g))
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup (12 tablespoons / 170 g) unsalted butter, (softened)
  • 1 ¾ cup (350 g) granulated sugar
  • 3 - 4 drops red soft gel paste food color ((optional))
  • 2 cups ( 240 g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry puree
  • 2– 3 tablespoons tablespoons lemon juice
