Ingredients

The following ingredients have 18 Servings
  • 2 tablespoons palm shortening or grapeseed oil
  • 1½ teaspoons celtic sea salt
  • 1½ cups pecans, (chopped)
  • 1 cup creamy roasted almond butter
  • ½ cup honey or agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups chocolate chips

Instruction

  • Warm shortening and 1 teaspoon salt in a 12 inch saute pan over high heat
  • Add pecans to pan and cook for 4 minutes
  • Warm almond butter, honey, vanilla and ½ teaspoon salt in a saucepan over medium heat
  • Remove from heat and stir pecans into almond butter mixture
  • Scoop 2 heaping tablespoons of batter into each
  • Melt chocolate in separate saucepan over lowest heat possible
  • Dip each bar in chocolate
  • Transfer to a parchment paper lined small baking sheet
  • Garnish bars with salt if desired
  • Freeze 30 minutes
  • Serve
