Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 1/4 cups fresh Bing cherries, (halved, pitted)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup + 3 Tbsp water, (divided)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp corn starch

Instruction

  • Rinse, cut cherries in half and remove seeds.
  • In a small sauce pan add cherries, sugar, water and lemon juice. Cook over low/medium heat and bring to a boil.
  • Let cherries boil for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Mix 3 tablespoons of water with corn starch and add to pan.
  • Once cherry mixture has thickened, remove from heat.
  • Serve warm over pancakes, waffles or crepes or let cool and top cheesecakes, brownies, etc.
