Ingredients
The following ingredients have 12 Servings
- 3 cup all-purpose flour (I used King Arthur's unbleached)
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 3 Tablespoons sugar (use 1 to 4 Tablespoons depending on your tastes and intense flavor of your beer.)
- 4 Tablespoons melted butter (divided)
- 1 1/2 cups beer (any beer of your choice)
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with baking spray, and set aside.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together over a large mixing bowl.
- Add the sugar and 2 Tablespoons of melted butter to the bowl.
- Pour in the beer and stir together until mostly smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top to create an even surface. Pour the remaining 2 Tablespoons of melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, before turning out onto a wire cooling rack. Allow to cool completely before slicing, then spread with butter or jam of your choice.
