Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 cups of tightly packed basil leaves (picked about 3 plants worth)
  • 1 cup of chopped garlic scapes
  • 1/2 cup of toasted pine nuts
  • 1 1/2 cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup of rough chopped parmesan cheese
  • a splash of vinegar (use your favourite..or even lemon juice)
  • salt and pepper to taste. (instead of pepper I used nasturtium flowers which have a peppery taste)

Instruction

  • Wash the Garlic Scapes and Fresh Basil
  • Toast the pine nuts in a dry pan until just golden brown, Make sure to toss the nuts in the pan as they toast to avoid burning.
  • Cool the nuts and then combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender.
  • Pulse until desired consistency is reached.
