Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 cups of tightly packed basil leaves (picked about 3 plants worth)
- 1 cup of chopped garlic scapes
- 1/2 cup of toasted pine nuts
- 1 1/2 cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup of rough chopped parmesan cheese
- a splash of vinegar (use your favourite..or even lemon juice)
- salt and pepper to taste. (instead of pepper I used nasturtium flowers which have a peppery taste)
Instruction
- Wash the Garlic Scapes and Fresh Basil
- Toast the pine nuts in a dry pan until just golden brown, Make sure to toss the nuts in the pan as they toast to avoid burning.
- Cool the nuts and then combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender.
- Pulse until desired consistency is reached.
