Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 14- oz cans hearts of palm (drained)
  • 2 cups homemade BBQ sauce
  • apple cider vinegar coleslaw
  • 6 burger buns (gluten-free if needed, sandwich rolls or lettuce wraps)

Instruction

  • Place hearts of palm into the bowl of a food processor. Pulse a few times, just until pieces are chopped into bite-size shreds. If you do not have a food processor you can shred the hearts of palm by hand, similar to how you pull apart a cheese stick.
  • Warm 2 cups of BBQ sauce in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add shredded hearts of palm, toss to coat all pieces and heat until mixture is warm.
  • Prepare sandwiches by adding a good amount of the BBQ mixture onto a burger bun, top with apple cider vinegar coleslaw and enjoy immediately.
