Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 canned red icing (use star tip)
  • 1 tbsp Valentine's Day Sprinkles

Instruction

  • First, in a mixing bowl, add dark brown sugar, white sugar and softened butter.
  • Next, add the egg and vanilla.
  • Then, add the salt, baking soda, and flour. Mix until well combined.
  • Next, add the chocolate chips and mix or stir by hand. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
  • Next, preheat oven to 350F.
  • Then, oil spray the inside of the 8" heart-shaped cake pan.
  • Next, press the refrigerated cookie dough into the oil sprayed heart-shaped cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes on 350F.
  • At the 25 minute mark, remove cookie from oven and insert a toothpick into the middle of the cookie. If it comes out clean, it's ready to cool. Otherwise, put the cookie back into the oven to bake for 5 more minutes. It will be brown on top. The smaller the baking pan, the longer the cookie will need to bake.
