Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 canned red icing (use star tip)
- 1 tbsp Valentine's Day Sprinkles
Instruction
- First, in a mixing bowl, add dark brown sugar, white sugar and softened butter.
- Next, add the egg and vanilla.
- Then, add the salt, baking soda, and flour. Mix until well combined.
- Next, add the chocolate chips and mix or stir by hand. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
- Next, preheat oven to 350F.
- Then, oil spray the inside of the 8" heart-shaped cake pan.
- Next, press the refrigerated cookie dough into the oil sprayed heart-shaped cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes on 350F.
- At the 25 minute mark, remove cookie from oven and insert a toothpick into the middle of the cookie. If it comes out clean, it's ready to cool. Otherwise, put the cookie back into the oven to bake for 5 more minutes. It will be brown on top. The smaller the baking pan, the longer the cookie will need to bake.
