Ingredients
The following ingredients have 14 Servings
- 1 cup self rising yellow cornmeal mix
- 3/4 cup self rising flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped Hatch Chile peppers
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
Instruction
- In a bowl combine the cornmeal, flour, baking baking and salt. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and set aside for 15 minutes. Heat a large dutch oven or skillet with 2 inches of vegetable oil on high heat. Drop in round spoonfuls and cook 2 – 3 minutes rotating halfway through the cooking process. Lay on a paper towel lined baking sheet before eating.
