Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3 firm apples ((Honeycrisp or Pink Lady are recommended))
  • 6 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons oats
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter

Instruction

  • Core the apples using an apple corer, cut them in half; then peel the skins. Place the apples flat side down in a baking dish and make slits in the apple about 1/4-inch thick slicing three-quarters of the way down. Don't slice all the way through.
  • Once you make the slices, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, oats and melted butter in a small bowl and spread over the apples.
  • Cover the pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes; then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the apples are soft.
