The following ingredients have 5 Servings
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 medium carrots (peeled and diced)
  • 1 medium leek (quartered lengthwise and sliced)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves ((or 1 teaspoon dried))
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1-1/2 lbs Russet potatoes (peeled and cubed)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/3 cup half-and-half (plus more as needed)
  • Salt and white pepper (to taste)
  • 1 egg yolk
