Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 3 ripe tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Drops of Tabasco sauce
  • Oregano and salt to taste
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 5 corn tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce, to taste
  • Avocado slices, to taste

Instruction

  • Cook the potatoes in water with salt. Set aside.
  • Plunge the tomatoes in hot water for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Remove the skin and place in a blender. Add the onions, garlic, Tabasco, oregano and salt and blend until smooth. Transfer the sauce to a pan and simmer to thicken it, about 3 to 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Brown the meat in a pan, season with your favorite spices and add the potatoes. Stir well to combine all ingredients. Add a little bit of the tomato sauce and stir again.
  • Heat the tortillas and fill with the meat and potato mixture.
  • Serve the tacos with strips of lettuce, avocado slices and rest of the sauce on top.
