Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
Instruction
- Place warm water into a measuring cup. Whisk in granulated sugar and active dry yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add in olive oil and yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Knead dough out onto a floured surface until smooth.
- Place dough into a large greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a towel. Let rise for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Deflate dough and divide into small balls. Roll each into a long thin bread stick. Place bread sticks onto large greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise for another 30-60 minutes. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
