Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 6 to 8 boness, skinless chicken thighs (or 4 chicken breasts)
  • 20 to 25 Thai basil leaves
  • 2 Tbsps soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp garlic paste or minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp ginger paste or minced ginger
  • Optional: 1 Tbsp Thai Seasoning stir in paste (picture in post above)
  • sweet Thai chili sauce for dipping

Instruction

  • Trim the chicken thighs if needed and place them in a gallon size plastic bag.
  • Finely chop the Thai basil leaves and put them in a bowl.
  • To the bowl with the Thai basil add the soy sauce, honey, fish sauce, sriracha, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and Thai seasoning paste if using. Whisk until combined.
  • Add the marinade to the bag with the chicken. Massage the bag until the chicken is coated, place in the fridge and marinate at least an hour or overnight.
  • Preheat the grill to medium high heat. Grill the chicken 4 to 5 minutes per side.
  • Serve with sweet Thai chili sauce for dipping
