Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes, (sliced in half)
  • 1/2 cup finely diced onion (optional)
  • 4 Tablespoons butter or margarine (sliced into cubes)
  • 4 teaspoon garlic salt (divided use)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese (divided use)
  • 4 hot dogs ((optional, they can be lined or left whole))
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • heavy duty aluminum foil

Instruction

  • Preheat the grill to 400F degrees. Slice potatoes in half.
  • Spray a large sheet of aluminum foil with nonstick cooking spray. Place 1 cup of sliced potatoes on top of aluminum foil. Sprinkle with a tablespoon of diced onions (optional)
  • Dot one tablespoon butter on top of the potatoes.
  • Season potatoes with 1 teaspoon garlic salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Then top with 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Top with one hot dog. Then drizzle with about 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. Wrap the packet up by folding in the sides. Continue with the last 3 packets.
  • Place on the preheated grill and cook for 15-20 minutes (until potatoes are fork tender.)
  • Carefully open the package and dig in! Top with sliced green onions (if desired.)
