Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 250 g Raw Tomato (Cut into big chunks)
  • 50 g Green chilli
  • 15-20 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Skinless Roasted peanuts
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Tamarind paste
  • 2 tsp Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Chana Dal
  • 1 tsp Urad Dal
  • 10-12 Curry leaves

Instruction

  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan.
  • Once the oil is hot, add tomato and green chilli and cook for 8-10 minutes until tomatoes are charred and nicely cooked.
  • Transfer the tomatoes and chillies in the jar of a blender.
  • Add garlic, peanuts, salt and tamarind paste and grind to make a smooth chutney.
  • Add little water if required.
  • For the tadka, heat 2 tsp oil in a small pan.
  • Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal and curry leaves and let the dal turn brown.
  • Pour the tadka over the chutney.
  • Serve with rice and curd.
