The following ingredients have 5 Servings
- 1 pound(s) whole, fresh green beans
- 3-4 slice(s) bacon, cut in thirds
- 1/3 cup(s) light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) black pepper
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
- Combine green beans and enough water to cover in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes.
- Drain.
- Wrap 5 or 6 green beans with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Repeat procedure with remaining green beans and bacon.
- Arrange bundles in a 13x9 baking dish.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar, salt and black pepper.
- Bake bundles until bacon is crisp about 15 to 20 minutes.
- TIP: If you don't have fresh green beans use 2 - 14.5-ounce cans of canned green beans. Drain, rinse and drain one more time. Toss beans with 1 tbsp lemon juice for a taste of freshness before making recipe.
