Ingredients

The following ingredients have 30 Servings
  • 1-1/2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
  • 2 cup(s) brown sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup(s) real butter at room temperature
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon(s) pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1-1/2 cup(s) flaky coconut
  • 1 cup(s) chocolate morsels (or dark chocolate chunks)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine flour, 1/2 c brown sugar, and butter. Use the low speed of mixer, mix until particles are fine.
  • Press mixture into bottom of ungreased 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 for only 13 to 15 minutes.
  • Mix the rest of your ingredients, while crust is being cooked. Beat 1-1/2 cups of brown sugar with eggs just until blended. Mix in the remaining ingredients (except the chocolate chips/chunks).
  • Spread batter over partially baked crust. Toss chocolate chips/chunks over it.
  • Bake 20 minutes to 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool and cut with sharp knife.
  • You can also use different candy toppings like crushed candy canes or chocolate mints. We did one with green crystals topping. All of them were very good.
