Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Crushed Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Palm Sugar / Jaggery / Honey

Instruction

  • First, measure and keep all the ingredients ready. Heat the milk in low flame.
  • Then, add the turmeric powder and stir well. Boil the milk furthermore for 2 minutes till the raw smell of the turmeric powder leaves.
  • To a hand mortar - pestle or a mixer, add the whole peppercorns and crush it a little (you can add ready-made pepper powder too, but freshly ground one, adds a nice flavour). Now, add the crushed pepper to the boiling milk.
  • Switch off the flame and then add palm sugar or jaggery or regular sugar for sweetness.
